2019年夏から今までに邦・洋楽のカヴァー曲を続々リリースしているTokimeki Records（トキメキレコーズ）が2022年4月20日、タイのシンガーmindfreakkk（マインドフリーク）を客演に迎えた初のオリジナル曲「SLEEP PARTY」のRemixesのリリースを発表しました。

“I was approached by Tokimeki Records for a remix of their new single “Sleep Party” featuring mindfreakkk and I fell in love with the vibes of the track immediately !
The production, vocals and chord progressions were amazing and inspired me a lot for a down tempo / lo-fi remix.
I wanted to start the remix with an organic introduction, almost classical with the help of strings and a piano before drowning in the slow and deep vibes of this remix.
The organic touch comes back during the track and gives a nostalgic feel that I love, and fits perfectly with the great vocals by mindfreakkk.”

mindfreakkkは、タイのシンガーソングライター。
シンセ・ポップ・ミュージックに影響を受けつつ、メンタルヘルスから着想を得て曲を作り出す。
2017年、すべてはボーイフレンドの “Tanskul” が彼女に作曲を勧めたことがはじまり。
一切の楽器が弾けない状態からのスタートで、最初はかなりの不安を感じながらの日々が続くも“Tanskul” のサポートの甲斐もあり、作曲に対する情熱で不安に立ち向かえるようになる。
その過程で自分の気持ちを口に出すよりも、歌にすることで心を楽にできると気付きそこからメンタルヘルスへの関心を高めていった。
彼女の曲は、身近な人たちや他のすべての人たちの気持ちを代弁し心の不安を払拭できるように願う、というメッセージが常に込められている。

‘mindfreakkk’ is an easily-freaked-out Thai artist whose songs are inspired by mental health and influenced by synth pop music. It all started when her boyfriend, Tanskul, encouraged her to explore writing music for the first time in 2017. She was quite nervous at first since she has not yet mastered any musical instrument. Fortunately, with a huge support from Tanskul, she found a way to compensate for her insecurities with the passion to write lyrics. Her interest in mental health grew as she discovered that it’s easier to write about her feelings into songs than say them out loud. It’s like a hidden message for all of those who are close to her and hope that it could speak for other people’s feelings as well.

DLJ
DLJはフランスのリヨン出身の27歳の作曲家、ヒップホップビートメーカー。
ラジオ司会者、作曲家、音響デザイナーとして様々なオーディオビジュアル制作会社で働いた後、ソロ活動に専念し、ローファイヒップホップ、ポップ、Rn’Bのインストゥルメンタル音楽を作曲。幼少期、ピンクフロイド、クイーン、フリートウッドマックなどのプログレッシブ・ロックミュージックをよく聴いて育つ。しかし、ヒップホップには常に目を向けており、Dr Dre、Cunninlinguists、Tupac、後にJ Dilla/Slum Village、Nujabes、Ras G、Knxwledge…などをよく聴いていた。
このようなHip Hopの環境の中で、DLJは2015年にプロデュースを始め、2017年にファーストアルバムをリリースし、その後数年にわたりいくつかのシングルをリリースしている。2019年、彼の曲の一握りは、ストリーミング・プラットフォームのキュレーターから大きな支持を得て、すぐに数百万ストリーミングに達し、Jazz Vibes, Lo-Fi Beats, New Music FridayなどのSpotify編集プレイリストに含まれるようになった。
DLJは最近、すべてのプラットフォームで1億8000万回以上のストリーミングを記録しました。また、自身の独立系レコードレーベルRetro Jungle Recordsを立ち上げた。
ヒップホップ・シーンの国際的なアーティストをフィーチャーしたコンピレーションをバイナルとデジタルで数枚リリースしている。

DLJ is a 27-years-old music composer and hip-hop beatmaker hailing from Lyon, France.
After working as a radio host, music composer, and sound designer for various audiovisual production companies, DLJ took to focusing on his solo career, composing instrumental lo-fi hip-hop, Pop and Rn’B music.
He used to listen to a lot of progressive rock music as a kid, growing with Pink Floyd, Queen or Fleetwood Mac. However he always kept an eye on Hip Hop music, used to listen to Dr Dre, Cunninlinguists, Tupac and later J Dilla/Slum Village, Nujabes, Ras G, Knxwledge…
Progressing slowly in this Hip Hop environment, DLJ started producing in 2015 and released his first album in 2017, with several singles to follow into coming years. In 2019, a handful of his songs quickly reached Millions of streams with great support by curators on the streaming platforms and were included in Spotify editorial playlists like Jazz Vibes, Lo-Fi Beats, and New Music Friday.
DLJ recently accumulated over 180 Million streams across all platforms. He also launched his own independent record label Retro Jungle Records. He released several compilations on vinyl and digital, featuring international artists from the Hip Hop scene.
