なお、ラマ9世通りの爆発事件については15、16、17歳の3人の生徒が逮捕され、他の爆発事件とは無関係であると伝えられいます。
連続爆発事件を受けて、在タイ日本国大使館からも不測の事態に巻き込まれることのないよう注意を促していますが、そんな中タイ東部パタヤでも検問が強化されています。特に政府関連庁舎付近、バリハイ埠頭、ウォーキングストリート、大型ショッピングセンター、バスターミナル、病院周辺が警戒地域とのこと。パタヤ日本人会PJAニュースが伝えています。

連続爆弾事件のあった2日の夜には、パタヤのスクンビット通り、サウスパタヤ通りで検問が設置され、ほぼ全車両を警察が不審物などがないかチェックしました。
警察によると、昨夜の検問では爆弾事件と関連するような不審物や不審者は発見されていませんが、引き続き警戒強化のために検問などを増やすとしています。
また、警察では合わせて飲酒運転や、運転免許証やIDの携帯義務などの違反がないかなども検査しています。

Lt Col Saranphong Maithongkunthorn of the Pattaya City Police says, “Following bombs in Bangkok, we want to make sure that people and tourists in Pattaya are safe.”“We haven’t found any suspicious objects or people in the area. If anyone sees any suspicious thing, please call the police.”The police were also ensuring that drivers were not intoxicated and had the proper license and identification to drive. The police stated to The Pattaya News that random checkpoints and random stops of suspicious people will continue over the next few days.
